Obituary of Paul VELYCHKO

PAUL VELYCHKO On Friday, October 31, 2008, Paul Velychko passed away at the age of 67 years. He was born on July 16, 1941 in Novosilski, Ukraine to the late Gregory and Leda Velychko. He came to Canada in 1976 where he met Orysia nee Seredny and they were united in marriage on October 6, 1979 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1978, Paul Velychko opened his own business Paul's Carburetor Service, where he worked until his retirement in 2006. Paul is survived by his wife Orysia; daughters Leda Velychko-Simpson (Jason) and Danusha Velychko; four grandchildren Marcus, Andriy, Tatyana and Kaitlyn. He is further survived by his sister Halia; nephew Ihor and other relatives and friends in Ukraine. Paul loved his grandchildren who brought him great pleasure. He will be missed by his family. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat Michael Buyachok officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
