Harry MOSSELAER

Obituary of Harry MOSSELAER

HARRY VAN DE MOSSELAER On Tuesday August 11, 2009 as the sun rose our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Harry, drew his last breath while surrounded by his family. Harry will be deeply missed by his loving wife Mardie, children Georgine (Andrew) Gaudes, Gregory (Mili), Christine (Mark) Kulas, Glen (Jessica), grandchildren Adam, David and Sarah Gaudes, Maya and Sohan Van de Mosselaer, and Matthew, Daniel and Anna Kulas. He is also survived by his twin brother John, brother Adrian, sister Cathy Gartner, many cousins and their families whom he dearly loved. Harry was born in Eindhoven, Netherlands on July 29, 1932, and immigrated with his family to Canada in 1952. He enjoyed a lifelong career as a machinist and teacher mainly at Standard Aero Engine and at Red River Community College. In 1990 he "retired" but his passion for his trade and many hobbies filled his days. Harry was a loving husband, devoted father and cherished grandfather. A man of integrity, compassion and generosity; in all ways possible a good man. Dad, we love you and miss you more than you will ever know. Thank you for your sense of humor, your support and the unconditional love you gave to each and every one of us. The family wishes to thank the staff at CancerCare, HSC, Riverview Hospital, Grace Hospice, numerous Home Care aides, and the many family, friends, and neighbors for their care, love and support. If friends so wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 15, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, 255 Stafford St., Winnipeg, MB. www.inmemoryofharry.com
