Obituary of Jose Tavares

JOSE LUIS TAVARES September 5, 1927 - December 8, 2010 It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Jos� Tavares, who succumbed to his short illness at Seven Oaks Hospital. Jos� was born in Rabo de Peixe, Portugal to parents Antonio Tavares Carrita and Cecelia de Jesus Tavares. He immigrated to Canada 31 years ago. He was predeceased by his parents and 1 brother. Jos� leaves to mourn, his wife of 60 years Maria Conceic�o Tavares; 4 children, Antonio, Joao, Filomena and Zelia and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We thank all the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care. Prayers will be held on Friday, December 10 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N.
