WILLIAM (BILL) SYSAK


We welcome you to join us as we mourn the passing and celebrate the life of William (Bill) Sysak aged 80 years, who passed away April 4, 2010.


Bill is survived by his ever-loving wife Shirley, his partner since their wedding on December 4, 1954; children Elaine of BC, Marlene of AB, Karen (Larry) of Louisiana, Bradley of BC; grandchildren Grant and Heather; Chris and Beau-Dean; Brian, Jeff and Kevin. Bill is also survived by his sister Stella, many nieces, nephews.


He was predeceased by his parents Anna and John Sysak and siblings Mary, Jenny, Peter, Nick, Mike and Sophie.


Bill grew up on the family farm in Arborg, MB. He worked at the Air Canada overhaul base in Winnipeg as an aircraft mechanic. Bill was well liked by all his neighbours and friendly to all. Bill was a great family man, much loved by wife and children. He was highly regarded and will be fondly remembered.


Memorial Service and reception to be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 9 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, with Chaplain Simone Comeault officiating.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.


Bill believed in God's promise "The Lord is my Shepherd".
