Obituary of Vera Sydorchuk
VERA SYDORCHUK
In the early hours on October 22, 2010, Mrs. Vera Sydorchuk passed away at Middlechurch Personal Care Home at the age of 99 years.
Vera was predeceased by her husband Steve much too soon in 1977, and more recently by her eldest son Donald, both who are very much missed. She was also predeceased by her siblings Michael (Elizabeth), Mitchell, Olga (Michael), Nance (Andrew), Teenie (William).
Vera is survived by her youngest son Edward, daughters-in-law Barbara and Delores; sister-in-law Anne, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vera enjoyed music and sang in the Ukrainian church choir for many years. Her home was often full of delicious aromas, especially Ukrainian delights such as borscht and honeycakes. Vera was content to go for a ride to Lockport for a hotdog or to Stead to pick mushrooms. "Baba" took great delight in watching her grandchildren grow, and then was tickled as the great grandchildren started coming along.
A sincere thank you goes to the staff at Middlechurch Care Home for the time and attention shown to our Mom and Baba.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow.
