Obituary of Lena SWIRSKI

LENA (LEONA) SWIRSKI (Spakowski) With her family by her side our mother passed away November 24, 2009 to join her late husband Walter. She was predeceased by her parents Mike and Marcella (Sochoski) Spakowski and sisters Olga and Mabel. Lena leaves to mourn her three loving sons; son Lorne (Sandra) Kloss; son Allen (Joy) and grandsons David (Caroline) Yates and 3 great grandchildren David, Patrick and Tara; grandson Scott (Stacey) Yates and great granddaughter Maya, son Roger (Barb); granddaughter Kathleen (Jordan) Lena's beloved granddaughter whom she adored; brother-in-law Joe (Blanche) Swirski and family; sister-in-law Josie Swirski and family; sister-in-law Helen (Lloyd) Kraemer and family and many nieces and nephews. Lena enjoyed many years of employment at Sears Retail Catalogue at Polo Park, Satellites and Garden City. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Msgr. Louis McCloskey officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach. A special thank you is extended to all staff members at Extendicare Oakview Place for their exemplary care of our mother and to Father McCloskey for always being there for her over the years.
