Obituary of Olga SUTHERLAND

OLGA (OLLIE) ROSIE CWIK SUTHERLAND (nee DOBROVOLNY) March 28, 1938 - October 30, 2010 With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our Mom, Grandma, Sister, and Friend. Ollie passed away in the early hours of October 30th at the age of 72 years, at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to cherish her memory are her children Janice (Rey), Gary, Johnny, Jerry (Greg), five grandchildren Nick, Leigh, Michelle, Aaron and Neil, brother Frank (Dorothy), sister Polly, nieces Karen, Susan, Robin and nephew Alan. Ollie also leaves behind her special companion Stanley. She was predeceased by her mother and father, sister Alice, niece Heather, and dear friend Bill. In her early years she worked for Bristol Aerospace and The Bay. She enjoyed her friends at the apartment and coffee shop and loved dancing. Despite her challenges with illness, she will be remembered for her independence and strength, a smile that lit up her face, her contagious laughter, and Chopsticks on the piano. A celebration of Ollie's life will take place Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
