PATRICIA ANN STRAUSKI Peacefully on Tuesday February 2, 2010, at Deer Lodge Centre, Patricia Ann Strauski, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away at the age of 72 years with her daughter, Jennifer holding her hand and niece Cathy by her side. She will be lovingly remembered and cherished forever by daughter Jennifer Harrison (nee Strauski) (David Harrison; Teigan and Zachary); Four sons; Daniel Wichert (Darlene Nyman); Kerry Wichert; Jeff Wichert (Janice Dilk); and Thomas Strauski Jr. Three grandchildren that she loved dearly; Murray and Samantha Wichert; and her (special little man) Dorian Wasacase-Harrison. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters Hilda Grymaluk; Beverly Barten; Two Brothers Will Ward (Gerry Ward) and Terry Ward; many nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; Nora and David Ward; brothers Brian and Larry Ward; sister Irene. Pat was born on July 29, 1937 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Her family moved to Winnipeg when she was young where she resided for most of her life. She had Daniel, Kerry and Jeff with husband Archie Wichert; and then later had Jennifer and Thomas with husband Thomas Strauski Sr. Pat worked in the Health Care field where she was a nurse for many years. She loved caring for people. She had a wonderful personality and her laugh was infectious. She could always light up a room. She was very elegant, graceful and kept pride in her appearance. She was a very beautiful lady with undeniable personal strength. The family would like to send out a very special thank you to the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for their dedication. They made a lasting impression on her - and she on them. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Kildonan Community Church at 2373 Main Street with Minister Brenda Fraser officiating. Reception will follow.
