Obituary of ROMAN NAUMIUK

ROMAN NAUMIUK It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Roman Naumiuk. Roman passed away unexpectedly in his home on March 13, 2012 at the age of 57. Roman is survived by his two sons Roman (Jr.) and Alexander (AJ). He also leaves to mourn his passing his mother Helen, sister Irene, brother Myron and his four nieces Charlene, Melissa, Jessica and Rachael. He was predeceased by his father Peter. Roman was born on March 30, 1954 in Radom, Poland. Immigrating to Canada at the age of 9, Roman developed into a top athlete and became a proud member of the Miles Mac Buckeys men's volleyball team. During this time, he acquired traits from his father and became a well accomplished carpenter. He later graduated from the University of Manitoba and went on to work at Selkirk Mental Health Center as a Therapeutic Recreational Specialist. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 7pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1pm also at Cropo. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Roman's dedication to his son's involvement in sports, those wishing to make expressions of sympathy are invited to make donations to the Sons of Italy Lions Soccer Club, 1055 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3M OW4 or the Firefighters Burn Fund Inc, 303-83 Garry Street, Winnipeg, R3C 4J9.
