My deepest wishes go out to Joe's Family in this sad time. One of My favorite moments when visiting Winipeg was a trip out to Falcon Lake with Uncle Joe when I was about 12 years old. I believe that was the first fish I caught in a lake and the fun I had must have sunk in because I still enjoy lake fishing 35 years later. If my mom (Olive Smerchynski) could portray her loss for Uncle Joe, I'm sure a great many tears would be shed because I believe she loved him like a brother.
