Obituary of Mel Sly

MILTON (MEL) SLY Suddenly and unexpectedly Mel began his journey into his spiritual world on January 27, 2011 at the age 65. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Bena, daughter Joelle (Hal), son Dean (Carla); grandchildren Jordan, Jessica, Jayde, Jason, Cohen, Carlean and great grandson Adyn; and sister Laura (Dennis), as well as many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and treasured friends. Mel retired from the Winnipeg Free Press after 40 years as well as the Military Services and was lastly working at Breezy Bend golf Course. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 4588 Roblin Blvd, with Rev. Msgr. M. Comeault P.H. officiating.
