KASMIR BERNARD SIWIK July 3, 1936 - June 2, 2009 Peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, Kas went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kas was a dearly beloved husband, father, Papa, son, brother and friend. Besides his loving wife Pat, he is survived by their sons Ted and Rob (Jen), daughter Carla (Jamie) and four grandchildren Max, Keila, Samuel and Mirah. He also leaves to mourn his mother Adela and brother Edmond. He was predeceased by his father Stephan. Kas was born in Winnipeg and raised in Fort Rouge. At the age of eight he began taking accordion lessons, which started his musical career that spanned over sixty years. He was a respected musician and leader who performed and toured with some of Manitoba's finest musicians, and played on many radio and TV shows. Kas ran a successful music store and school in St. Boniface, influencing generations of musicians. In 1963 he married the love of his life, his "DEAR", Pat. Together they instilled strong Christian values in their children and grandchildren, with whom they loved to spend much of their time. Their home was always open to all and was filled with laughter, family, friends and music. His life was a Godly example to all and his continuous love, encouragement and support blessed so many. Kas' passion for life was his Lord, family, friends and music. With gratitude to family, friends and Oncology staff at Concordia Hospital.
