We celebrate the full life of Adeline Siwik who, peacefully, went to be with her Lord on January 15, 2011 at Victoria General Hospital
Mom is survived by her son, Edmund, daughter-in-law Pat, grandchildren Teddy, Rob (Jennefer), Carla (Jamie), and great grandchildren Max, Samuel, Keila and Mirah.
Born in Winnipeg in 1913, Mom and her family returned to Poland when she was 10 months old. Mom grew up in Tarnopal, Poland and in 1929 the family returned to Winnipeg to begin a new life.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Mary, husband Stefan, brother John, sister Rose, and son Kas.
As a young woman Mom worked with the Grey Nuns at St. Boniface Hospital until she married Stefan in 1934.
Mom or SuperBaba as she was affectionately known to her family, was kind, gentle, and generous. She was an active member of Holy Ghost C.W. L. , Holy Ghost Fraternal Aid Society and a past member of Canadian Legion , Mynarski Branch.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Amant Centre or a charity of your choice.
