Obituary of JosÉ SILVA

JOS� SILVA Peacefully on May 29, 2009 at 3:40 a.m. Jos� passed away at home surrounded by his family. Jos� is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elia; children Rui (Agnes), Helder (Anita), Susan (David); grandchildren Tyler (and his mom Tonia) and Cayden; siblings Conceicao, Esmeralda (Mariano) and Manuel (Elisa); sisters-in-law Olga (Joao), Fernanda (Jose); his nieces and nephews Luisa, Frank, Elisa, Sandra, Paulina, Carlos, Jose, Mike, Brian, Claudio, Dina, Shelley, Debbie, and the rest of the family in Portugal and Ontario. He will also be missed by many friends. Jose lived in Canada for 36 years. A special thanks to Dr. G. Harding, nurse Cindy and Michelle his home care nurse and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, June 2, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street North with Very Reverend Father Jos� Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. presiding. Interment to follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery.
