HENRY SEMENCHUK
March 31, 1921 - November 7, 2008
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Henry Semenchuk on Friday November 7, 2008 at the age of 87 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Teenie on June 11, 1984; parents Pantelmon and Pearl; sisters Marion, Anna, Katherine; brothers Arthur and Jack.
Henry is survived by sisters Sophie and Emily; nieces Carolyn, Marlene, Janice; nephews George, Eugene, Derek, Robert, Neil, Barry and their families.
Henry was born in Narol, lived and farmed on the homestead until 1989. When he retired, Henry sold the farm and moved to the City. He played the accordion and in his 20's performed at small functions. After he retired, he was a regular at St. Ivan Suchavsky Sobor where he assisted in making perogies for numerous years. Henry was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church of Narol and sang in the choir.
Prayers will be said on Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 5635 Henderson Hwy. with Father Robert Kennaugh officiating. Interment to follow in St. Nicholas Church Cemetery, Narol, MB
In lieu of flowers, donation' s may be made in Henry's memory to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church of Narol at Box 24, Grp. 352, RR#3 Winnipeg MB R3C 2E7.
