She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret Borys, brother William, her precious baby daughters Joanne Margaret 11months 10 days old, and infant 2 days old, her husband Joe the father of her children, and husband Bill Kamins. She is survived and will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughter Donna (Ed), son Kerry (Cathy, son Kelly), grand-daughter Melissa (Aaron), great grandson Angus, sisters Stephanie, Alyce, Ann, sister-in-law Bernice, niece Terry, nephew Tom (Jo-Anne), great niece Wendy (Ryan) their sons Jordan and Noah, great nephew Billy, and many cousins and friends. She will be remembered for her love of life, sense of fun and laughter, and generous spirit. Mary was totally dedicated to her family. She immensely enjoyed raising her children, baking them cookies, sewing their clothes, and playing with them. The family went on car trips and spent summer days at the beach. She loved working in her garden and flower beds. Mom also loved her sports and was an avid hockey and football fan. She was a member of bowling leagues for many years, then carpet bowling when she moved to her apartment. Mary was born in Grindrod, B.C. on November 11, 1924, moving to Winnipeg in 1930. She attended Woodsworth School and Brooklands School. During the war years she worked at MacDonald Brothers Aircraft Co. on the Avro bombers, many years at Canada Safeway, Co-op Stores, Ashdown Hardware Store and the Winnipeg School Division No. 1. The family wish to thank the staff on N3 East at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. A Celebration of our Mother's life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Thursday, February 24, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Henry Falkner and Lee Barringer officiating.
