Obituary of Maria Santos

MARIA DE LURDES DOS SANTOS November 14, 1945 - May 27, 2011 It is with sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Maria on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the age of 65 years. Maria is survived by her husband Antonio; children Alberto (Donna), Goretti, Austilia (Tony) and Margarida; grandchildren Michael, Jessey, Andrew, Heather, Boe, Ryan and Britney; and her mother Julia; brother Pedro; sisters Deolinda, Julia, Lenor. Maria was predeceased by her father Albano. Maria was born in St. George, Acores, Portugal coming with her family to Winnipeg in 1974. Our mother had two passions which were her family and her church. She was always giving of herself to others. She will be greatly missed. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 31 at 7:45 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue West.
