Obituary of Jane SAMORODNY

JANE SAMORODNY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jane Samorodny, wife, mother Baba, daughter and friend on April 29, 2009. She was predeceased by her mother, Lena. Jane leaves to mourn her husband Nick; daughters Rocheen (Kyle), Nicole (Ryan), and Dale (Terry); granddaughters Taylor, Darcie and Ciara; father Joe; mother-in-law Mary; brothers Don (Jody) and Joey (Sheila) and sister Sherri (Gary); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Jane was born in Gimli on June 27, 1949. She worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years in Banff, Arborg and Winnipeg. She married Nick on July 18, 1981. They lived in Winnipeg until 1998 when they moved to West St. Paul. Jane loved to garden and tend to her flowers and vegetables all summer. Fall months were spent canning and preserving the vegetables from the garden. She also loved to shop for bargains. Jane was a wonderful cook; and whether family or friend, you never left her home hungry. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for family and friends. You taught us love and how to fight; You gave us strength; you gave us might. "Some day when we meet up yonder we'll stroll hand in hand again in a land that knows no parting"
