Obituary of Antoni ROZWADOWSKI

ANTONI STANISLAV ROZWADOWSKI March 28, 1942 - June 1, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, husband, father, brother and dziadzia, Antoni Stanislav Rozwadowski on June 1, 2009. Left to forever cherish his memory are his mother Jadwiga; his wife Maria; brother Thomas (Barbara) and family; sons Thomas (Suzana) and Derek (Katarzyna); grandchildren Daria, Eric, Dominik and Sean and extended family in Winnipeg and Poland. He was predeceased by his father Kazimierz in 1998. Antoni was born in Tuczna, Poland on March 28, 1942 and immigrated in May 1961 to his new home in Winnipeg along with his parents and brother. Antoni and Maria married January 15, 1966 in Winnipeg and began to raise a family. Antoni was a strong man who always put his family first. His greatest pride was his children and later his grandchildren. In November 2000 he retired from CP Rail where he worked as a track maintainer. For him there was no place like home and was happiest cutting grass with his grandchildren and working around the house and in the garden. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that a donation be made to Holy Ghost Parish in memory of Antoni.
