Obituary of Stanislaw Rochalski

STANISLAW (STANLEY) ROCHALSKI It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. Stanley Rochalski passed away on Wednesday January 26, 2011 at the age of 73 with his loving wife at his side. Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helena, his daughter Mariola (George) Broder, granddaughters Katrina and Alanna, sisters Theresa (Wroblewska) and Barbara (Tolloczko) in Poland, cousins Emil Rochalski and Josie (Balinski) and many nieces, nephews and relatives abroad. Stanley was born in Poland on November 1, 1937 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1965. He was a very hard working and loyal person who worked at D. Cohn Trans Canada Furriers for 37 years. He had a passion for carpentry and handyman jobs, and his work ethic and pride in a job well done was always evident. He was always willing to help anyone in need with no task to great. We will forever cherish his memory and will deeply miss his big gentle heart and "golden" hands. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 30 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Parish, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. The family would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the many hospital staff that cared for Stanley, in particular staff at IICU and Ward D4 at Health Sciences Centre. Donations may be made in Stanley's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
