Obituary of Cheryl Robert (LABELLE)

CHERYL ANN ROBERT (LABELLE) (nee STEWART) Tragically on July 26, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed on with her family at her side. Cheryl was predeceased by her mother Gayle Stewart and grandmother Lillian Lewis. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ryan Labelle, Ashley Labelle (David), Vanessa Robert (Adam), her "pride and joy" grandson Shea Labelle, partner Mike Halabiski, father Jim Stewart (Anne), brother Jim Stewart Jr. (Katherine), step-brothers Corey Webster (Riley), Blaine Webster (Donna), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Cheryl was born January 26, 1959 in Winnipeg and spent her early years in Elmwood and East Kildonan. She attended Kildonan East Collegiate and in her younger years working as manager of Club St. B. She was employed by Revenue Canada for the last 10 years. Cheryl was a kind, loving woman who loved to take care of others. She pulled no punches and spoke her mind. She was a mother in every sense of the word. She was so proud of her children and was enamored with her only grandchild Shea. We are comforted to know that the last few months she shared with Mike she was content and loved. Special thanks to the Winnipeg Police and staff in the E. R. at the Health Sciences Centre for their compassion. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cheryl's memory to any Breast Cancer organization. Cheryl was a happy, fun loving woman with a zest for life. Lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
