Obituary of Wojciech Rarog

Wojciech Rarog April 23, 1946 - February 27, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wojciech Rarog. He fell asleep peacefully with his family at his side on February 27, 2011. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria, his children Marcus (Chrissy), Margaret (Terry), Dan, his grandchildren Kaitlyn & Bradley. He will also be remembered by his sister Krystyna and many family and friends in Poland and Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his father Bronislaw, mother Maria and sister Mietka. Dad worked as a roofer for over 35 years, with the majority at Master Roofing. The family would like to thank Master Roofing for their support and the many friends he made there over the years - it was a job that he thoroughly loved. Dad will always be remembered for his hard work and his manicured lawn and gardens. He was a fiercely independent and proud man - who worked so very hard and sacrificed so very much to support his family to ensure they had everything they ever wanted and more. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, mushroom picking, helping out his kids around the house and going to the store to pick-up treats for the grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4 at 9:30 a.m. with Holy Rosary commencing at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. With respect to Dad's wishes, no reception will follow. Our family would like to thank in advance all those who are able to attend the service and all the support during this difficult time Pallbearers: Roman Kobylinski, Bruno Janczak, Peter Biernacki, Erik Antas, Marian Blugosz and Richard Leszczynski In lieu flowers, donations in dad's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E OV9 Rest in peace "WIECZNY ODPOCZYNEK RACZ MU DAC PANIE"
