EMMA PLISCHKE (Machnauer)

September 23, 1903-January 5, 2009

Emma passed away peacefully at age 105 at Misericordia Place Personal Care Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Noreen Smith (Arthur); 6 grandchildren, Donna (Ralph), Lynne (Norman), Kathy (John), Kevin (Yvette), Wendy (Tony), and Allan; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 newly born great-great-grandchild, and a niece and nephew.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Theodore J., son Ted; daughter-in-law Lorraine; parents; all her siblings and her niece.

Emma was a high spirited, enthusiastic socializer who loved hearing and telling a good joke. She was an avid and well awarded 10 Pin Bowler who enjoyed the sport until age 92.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A special prayer of thanks to all the wonderful caregivers on Robin Way at Misericordia Place for "feisty" Emma's 8 years of excellent and compassionate care.

A Memorial service in her honor will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Friday, January 9 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Emma's memory to Misericordia Health Centre Foundation, 99 Cornish Ave., Wpg., MB R3C 9Z9, would be appreciated.
