She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and her childhood friends Donna and Bill Shklanka, and Justin (Tracy) Scheffer whom she adored like her own son. Janis will especially be missed by her sister and best friend Noreen. Janis was born in Winnipeg on August 7, 1947. She later met her husband/soul mate Iain Peacock. They were married on April 4, 1968. She worked in the airline industry for 30 years. Her passions included bothering her sons for grandchildren and leaving extended phone messages. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. J.E.Walli who gave her extra time to spend with her family and friends. We would also like to thank all the nurses from GD3 and GD4 who gave her special care at the Health Sciences Center. In keeping with Janis's wishes she will be cremated and reunited with Iain at Brookside Cemetery.
