Obituary of Veronica PALMER
VERONICA CATHERINE AURELIA PALMER
(nee Wrobel)
With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mom, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Veronica Palmer on December 2, 2009.
Mom was born in Winnipeg's North end in 1937. She is predeceased by her parents Aurelia and Michael Wrobel and her niece Melanie. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her husband Bruce of 51 years, daughters Karen (Ral) and Peggy, son Bart (Michelle), grandchildren Justin and Danelle, sister Lorna Yasumatsu (Sam) and niece Cindy (Ed and children Madison and Keenan) and brother-in-law Brian (Shirley).
Mom started her career as a clerk for Monarch Life and subsequently took great pleasure in raising her family. She enjoyed many years as a member of the Chateau bowling league and loved traveling.
She always loved celebrating special occasions and took pride in decorating, preparing home cooked meals and providing gifts to others. She loved the sun and beach and spent many enjoyable years at their Winnipeg Beach cottage.
Specials thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital, especially the ICU staff who went out of their way to make her stay comfortable.
A celebration of Veronica's life will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main at Inkster.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Veronica Palmer to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Veronica
