Nieuwenburg - Christina Johanna (Tijmensen)

Born Easter Sunday, April 20, 1930, in Leusden, Holland, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 15, 2009.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jacob Nieuwenburg, and their eight children: John (Jennifer), Jim (Morag), Steve (Kim), Roy (Laurie), Gary (Christine), Randy (Sue), Caroline and Tina, and twelve grandchildren: Keri, Erin, Jeff, Jodi, Nick, Luke, Tara, Jenna, Will, Jane, Sara and Peter.

Christina was dedicated to her family, and resolute in her faith.

Visitation will be held 7pm-8pm Wednesday, November 18 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg. A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 19 at St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
