WILFRED (WILLY) NERO

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Wilfred on September 3, 2009 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 65 years.

Wilfred leaves to mourn his companion Judy Aitkenhead and her sons Jamie and Randy; grandchildren Jessica, Brenden, Kristopher and Cole; great grandchild Dakota. He will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Anne and his sister Constance.

After his mother passed away he was welcomed into his aunt and uncle Frances and Steve Nero's home and raised along with their 3 sons Ron, Henry and Ruben.

Wilfred was employed by the Manitoba Telephone System (1967-1996) and Boeing. He enjoyed working on the family tree, working on the computer and Tai Chi.

The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and his cousin John Nero for all their care and compassion.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilfred's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
