Obituary of Walter NAHERNY
WALTER W. NAHERNY
Peacefully on September 1, 2009, Walter passed away at his home at age 74.
Walter was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga in 2005 and his father Wasyl in 1952 and his mother Anne in 1998.
Walter is survived by his two children Patricia and Rick (Joanne); brother Norman.
Walter was born in Winnipeg on May 13, 1935 and attended Farraday and Isaac Newton Schools. He married Olga in 1960. Walter started working in the transportation industry (Royal, Swan River Transport and CN Transport). During the early years, he completed his CGA certification and became a Certified General Accountant. Walter also worked at Dominion Construction from 1984 until 1994 at which time he retired. Walter will always be remembered for being a very dedicated worker and caring father/husband and a devoted brother to Norman.
Prayers will be said on Monday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
