Obituary of Minnie MORSE
MINNIE MORSE
Peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Selkirk General Hospital, Minnie Morse went to her eternal reward. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Josey Zalakeski.
Minnie lived in Winnipeg for most of her life, but in later years, moved to Selkirk, where she was an active member of Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Parish. She loved to be involved in all the parish activities and made a number of friends there.
She very much enjoyed her time at the cabin near Petersfield. There she came to know and love the Dyck family. She was a warm and welcoming person and she developed a strong and loving relationship with them. She therefore will be fondly remembered by Josie Dyck, her closest friend, by Ken Elliott, Karen Dyck, Chesley Dyck, Mary Dyck, her adopted "grandchildren" Adam and Christy Elliott, and Sara and Michael Lecoy, and "great-grandchildren" Carissa (her angel nurse) and Adam and Kyra Lecoy.
The funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Sophia/Pacific Ave., Selkirk, MB on Saturday, August 23 at 9:30 a.m. with Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will be at the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery at Shoal Lake, MB.
