Obituary of Jeanette Mislawchuk
JEANETTE MISLAWCHUK
November 14, 1939-March 26, 2008
After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Jeanette went peacefully to join the rest of her family to be with God. Jeanette is left to mourn her loving family, nieces Gail Somers (Adriaan van Reede), Patty Bailey (Derek), nephew, Fred Mislawchuk (Eleanor), great nephews, Adam (Natasha), Jeffrey, Christopher Somers, Tyler Mislawchuk, and great nieces, Olivia, Chelsea Bailey and Madison Mislawchuk. She is also left to mourn her sister in law, Elsie Mislawchuk. She was predeceased by her parents Mike and Ann Mislawchuk, sister Lil, brother Fred, brother-in-law Nick and nephew Bob. Jeanette was born in Winnipeg to Mike and Ann Mislawchuk. She resided in Winnipeg her whole life. Jeanette graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate and went on to work at Monarch Life for most of her career. She then went on to work at Manulife and retired after working with Heather Collingridge. Jeanette loved the Casino and went to play Bingo there often. She loved to travel and played many sports also. She played baseball as a girl and was an excellent player. Jeanette was a very quiet, private person but had a wonderful sense of humor. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre. They were compassionate in their care of Jeanette and she was grateful also. We would like to thank Dr. Garcia, the many caring nurses and the wonderful health care aides that looked after Jeanette for the two months she was under their care. Pallbearers will be Fred Mislawchuk, Derek Bailey, Adam, Jeffrey and Chris Somers and Adriaan van Reede. Funeral services will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
Donations can be made to the Riverview Health Centre or a charity of your choice. VICHNYA PAM'YAT
