Obituary of Zenaida MEDEIROS
ZENAIDA MEDEIROS
Peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 Zenaida Medeiros passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 65.
Zenaida leaves to mourn her three sisters and brother in Winnipeg, Maria Valdomira (Steve), Natalia (Carlos), Aldora (Humberto), and Mario Jorge (Natividade), four sisters in Portugal, Dolores (Joao Barbosa), Adriana (Jose Claudino), Conceicao (Manuel Benevides), and Lucia (Lionel Medeiros) as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Luisa and Gabriel.
Zenaida was a member of the Legion of Mary, taught catechism classes at Immaculate Conception Parish and volunteered at various Catholic Churches in Winnipeg. We would like to thank everyone who brought food and visited her at the hospital as well as the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Prayers will be held on Friday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. North. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Wladimir Porreca as Celebrant. Interment to take place in Glen Eden Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zenaida's memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
