Obituary of Monica MARGRAF

MONICA BRIGITTE MARGRAF Suddenly on February 10, 2009 at the age of 48 years Monica Brigitte Margraf passed away. Left to mourn are her mother Wilhelmine and father Florian Margraf, her brother Ralf, sister-in-law Jan, nephew Jason, and niece Kelsey. Also mourning are her special friends and room mates Joanne and Deanna. Born in Monchengladbach, Germany on February 12, 1960 Monica immigrated with her family to Canada in April 1964 and went on to attend HL Softley and Polson Schools. Following graduation, Monica worked for Pizza Pop Canada, Bethania Personal Care Home, Saan Stores, Winners and the Salvation Army Thrift Store. In 2000 Monica moved out of her family home and fulfilled her dream of living on her own. Monica was a happy and gentle person who loved to spend time at Camp Neustadt in the summer. She especially liked going for breakfast and walks with her Mom, riding her bike, playing bingo, swimming and visiting with her many friends at the beach. Monica also enjoyed a good laugh and loved to dance She was an avid 5 pin bowler who spent many Saturday afternoons with her friends at Rossmere Lanes. Monica will be sadly missed. The family would like to sincerely thank Tammy Salchert at FSH and the many staff at Visions of Independence for all of the support and encouragement they have provided to Monica over the years, particularly Karen, Taryn, Shawna, Trina and Natalie. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.cropo.com.
