JOAN G. MALINOWSKI

Peacefully, on July 6, 2009, Joan passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 86. She is survived by her daughter Flo, (Howard) Bilan, her son Joe, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Joan was born in England and came to Canada in the early 30's. She lived in Treherne and McGregor before coming to Winnipeg in the late 30's, where she met her husband Joe. She worked for the Winnipeg School Board for 27 years. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, granddaughter Shelley, 2 sisters Florence Draward and Vera (Ken) Roberts and 1 brother George (Irene) Parsons.

The family would like to thank Joan's homecare workers as well as the nursing and emergency staff at the Concordia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 9, at 7:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 10, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
