Obituary of Pauline Litynski

PAULINE LITYNSKI December 9, 1928 - January 16, 2011 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pauline Litynski on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Karen Riesterer (Fred); grandchildren Paul Riesterer (Kristjana), Michael Riesterer, David and Deanna Holowchuk; two beautiful great-grandchildren Kaiden and Nolan that she just adored with all her heart; sister Pearl Semchyshyn and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline also leaves many dear friends who were touched by her kindness and gentleness. She was predeceased by her husband Adolphe, daughter Donna Holowchuk and brother Bill Zarney. Pauline was a parishioner of Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and then St. Anne Church until her passing. She made a strong commitment to serve her church and her community. She has been a long-standing member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League of Canada serving on various executive levels, National, Archeparchial, Regional and her own Branch. She was devoted and hardworking. Pauline retired after 29 years as Sales Supervisor at the Hudson Bay Co. Starting a second career, Pauline worked in the Adult Day Program at the Holy Family Home from 1987 - 1995. She epitomized warmth and generosity and loved working with the elderly. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and held many executive positions including President and was also an Associate Member of the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate. Prayers will be said on Thursday, January 20 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev.
