GREGORY JOHN KWIATKOWSKI 1952 - 2012 It is with sadness the family announces that on Thursday, February 9, 2012 Gregory Kwiatkowski passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Gregory was predeceased by his wife Nena (nee Hargreaves), his father Henry, and his brother-in-law Bill Keeler. Gregory leaves to mourn his passing, his sons Breydon and Carson and their mother Carla, his mother Marjorie and his brothers; Gerard, Rodney, Randy, David (Jina), Doug (Lana), Terry (June), Tim (Connie), and his sisters Shann and Shari, plus Kim and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends and his cat, McKenzie. As a young lad growing up in Saskatchewan he enjoyed the outdoors. He spent a lot of time in the woods hunting and trapping with his friends. Gregory moved from Saskatchewan with his family in 1970. Being the eldest of 10 children he became independent at an early age and at the age of 18 years old he gained employment with The Canadian Pacific Railway as a worker and advanced with the railway to the status of Engineer. After a lengthy career, he retired at the age of 55 years old. Gregory was an avid skier and spent much of his leisure time on the slopes all across Canada and the USA. He was a member of the Winnipeg Ski Club, which he helped to establish, and he worked diligently for and through his efforts he became the assistant ski coach trainer in which he assisted young ski enthusiasts. Skiing was Gregory’s passion. The joy in his life came from his sons, Breydon and Carson. Gregory was an extremely devoted father to them. Gregory was dearly loved by his family and those who lives he touched. Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will also be held at Cropo Chapel on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. A private family interment to follow. Many heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses who attended to Gregory at the Health Sciences Centre and special thanks to Gregory’s physician and friend Dr. Wade Glew . Thank you to Gregory's brothers Tim and Rod for their caring and support and a special thank you to Gregory's sister Shann for being his special angel during his brief illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity ones choice. "The Lord your God has chosen you... His treasured possession". Gregory will be sadly missed and forever remembered.
