Frank Lammert

Obituary of Frank Lammert

Frank Anton Lammert It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Frank Lammert at the age of 67, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Gwen, cousin Ursala and Jim McLachlan, many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews. There are not enough words to describe the man he was. He was kind, generous, patient, reliable but most of all a loving person who was highly respected by all who knew him. Frank married his best friend, 35 years ago. Together they spent their days at the cottage, landscaping both the yard at home and at the lake, cross country skiing and long drives to the snake pit, among many more things. Together they made the perfect couple. Frank will be missed and will remain in Gwen's heart forever. His most treasured times were spent at the family cottage in the Big Whiteshell. It is where he spent most weekends in the summer, deer hunting in the winter and fishing in the spring. For most of Frank's life, his career was in the heating and cooling industry. His co-workers and customers could always rely on Frank's knowledge, loyalty and kind heart. He had made many friends over the years working with HVAC Group. Frank touched many lives and will be forever in our hearts. A heart of gold stopped beating, hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the best. Heartaches in this world are many, but losing you was worse than any. It will be lonely here without you, we will miss you more each day, for life will not be the same for us, since you've been called away. We will always remember the way you looked, the way you walked and smiled, all the things you did for us, will be with us all the while. You always did your best, your heart was true and tender, you lived your life for those you loved, and those you loved will remember. We would like to give a special thank you to the paramedics, doctors and nurses in the ER at Seven Oaks Hospital. To honour Frank's life, a viewing will take place on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with a Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Both will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St, Winnipeg, MB. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation on Frank's behalf.
