Obituary of Annie LAKUSTA
ANNIE LAKUSTA
(nee Salamandyk)
December 20, 1905 - August 11, 2008
Peacefully, on Monday, August 11, 2008 at the Holy Family Nursing Home, Annie Lakusta, at the age of 102 left this world to be with her beloved husband George for eternity.
Annie was predeceased by her husband George, daughter Lillian, son Alec, sister Mary, brothers Steve, Bill, Peter, Sam, and Alex and grandchildren George, Louie, Debbie, and Wendy-Lee.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons Maurice (Victoria), and Ernie, sister Katherine, as well as in-laws Pat and Cyril. Baba is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren, relatives and extended family.
Annie's (Baba's) legacy will be based on her devotion to family, community and church. Her wisdom, work ethic and laughter will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Holy Family for providing quality care and support.
Prayers for Annie will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The Funeral Service will begin on Friday, August 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary the Protectress (Sinclair & Burrows) with the Very Rev. Dr. J. Buciora officiating. Interment to follow at the Senkiw Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, in Annie's memory, friends may make a donation to St. Mary the Protectress Cathedral or a charity of their choice.
