Obituary of Pauline Kucharski
Pauline (Polly) Kucharski
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Pauline Kucharski on May 16, 2011. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Denise (Jim), granddaughters Jennifer and Caitlin and brother William (Bill).
She was predeceased by her husband Eddie, her sisters Mary, Nellie and Anne and brother Nicholas Jr., and parents Nicholas and Theodora.
Pauline grew up in Libau, Manitoba where her parents worked on a small farm. After completing school she moved to Winnipeg and began working at different clerical positions. Through mutual friends and family she met Eddie and they married in 1951. They were married for 57 years, they enjoyed hosting grey cup parties, family dinners and time spent with their granddaughters. Pauline had a green thumb and it showed in her passion for gardening at both her home and the farm. She loved and cherished the times spent at the farm with her brother Bill and her family.
Pauline was a long time member of a senior centre where she enjoyed weekly card games and road trips with her friends. Always ready to play a game of crib, she looked forward to Sunday night dinners and crib games with her family.
She will always be remembered for her kind heart and generous spirit, and her famous baking and cooking - especially her perogies.
Her family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the neighbours and friends who have helped Pauline over the years.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011, at 12:00 noon at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with viewing from 11:30 - 12:00 noon with Major Darrell Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Wpg., MB R3L 0K6.
We love you more than words can ever say.
