Obituary of Grant KOWAL

GRANT DONALD KOWAL It is with great sorrow that the family of Grant Kowal announces his untimely passing on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Grant was born on Sept. 6, 1963 and was the beloved son of Don Kowal and the late Irene Kowal. He was recently predeceased by his Baba Anne Kowal, and earlier his Gigi Mike Kowal and his Grandmother Catherine Dickson. Also his great grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Grant is survived by his father, Don Kowal(Ann Mabon) his brother Greg (Thalie) and nephew John of Calgary, his brother Scott (Karen) nephews Cameron, Wesley, Ewan and niece Dana. Also mourning his loss are his aunt Dorene and his dearly beloved and best friend Kim, along with many cousins he grew up with. Grant enjoyed his earlier years having fun with his brothers and cousins at their summer home in Sandy Hook, which included swimming and golfing. Just like his Gigi he loved fishing and got out whenever he could. He had many friendships growing up in Garden City and had a great love for animals, particularly his dog, Willie. A Memorial service will take place on Monday October 18th at 11:00 A.M. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Very Reverend Father Richard Soo, S.J. officiating. A private family interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery immediately following, where he will be buried in the family plot with his mother Irene.
