RAYMOND RUDOLPH KOENIGBAUR Peacefully, with friends and family by his side, Raymond Rudolph Koenigbaur passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 71 years. Raymond is survived by his wife Diane of 43 years, his daughters Marion Birch, Janice Normandeau (Mike), Jennifer Skelly (Kevin), all of Winnipeg, son Jason Koenigbaur of Aurora, Ontario, grandchildren Zachary, Miranda, Braeden, Dylan, Ty and Nicole. He was predeceased by his parents Josephine and Rudolph Koenigbaur and his cousin Denis McNaughton. Ray was born on June 26, 1937 in Winnipeg. For forty years he managed his own television repair business. His passions were golfing and fishing. Ray was an outgoing and energetic person who enjoyed sharing his deep faith in God with others. He founded the Billboards For Jesus Committee in the early 80's, involved himself in the healing ministry for many years and spearheaded Eucharistic Adoration at St. Joseph's Church. Ray loved to travel with his wife and son on pilgrimages. In his latter years he was an aspiring poet. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff on 5E at St. Boniface for their compassion and caring. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain Avenue and Andrews Street with Father Diosdado Parrenas officiating.
