MARY KACHUR
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Kachur (nee Prokop) at age 87 on March 30, 2010.
Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Steve, their children Jimmy of Winnipeg, Joyce (Bruce) Clapham of Fargo, ND, sisters Nellie (Siggie) Marohn of Vancouver, Ann Mead of Saskatoon, brothers John (Alice) Prokop of Yorkton, Tony (Shirley) of Yorkton; grandchildren Shane and Kimberly, great grandson Michael. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
She was predeceased by her parents Albina and Harry Prokop, 5 brothers and a sister.
We would like to thank the staff of the fifth floor, unit 5 and unit 4 at the Seven Oaks Hospital where compassion was demonstrated daily and for that we are forever grateful.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Avenue, East Kildonan with Fr. Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Highway #1 East & Navin Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, phone 204-925-3800 ext. 3.
Our Mom will always be remembered, missed and loved by everyone. She was an angel in life and now in death and we know she will be watching over all who loved her.
