Mary JOSS

Obituary of Mary JOSS

MARY JOSS (SARNA) With all her family at her side, our loving mother Mary was sent to be with the Lord at the age of 90 years. She is lovingly missed and greatly cherished by her husband of 68 years, Daniel, sons Daniel Jr. (Janice), Keith (Marion), Ken, daughters Eleanor Winch (Garry), Jacquie Joss, grandchildren Danna Kaplan (Joel), Kim Mercury (Jamie), Bradley Joss (Tanya), Jennifer Flasha (Jeff), Tamara Mackie (Rob), Danielle Winch, Zachary Joss and numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother and sisters. Mary was considered by all who knew her, to be a person who enjoyed life, had great dignity, strong family values, showed extraordinary kindness and generosity, was loving and compassionate, and took great pride in all her family members. She always felt that her greatest accomplishment in life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You were always welcomed at Mary and Danny's at anytime. The many friends mom made while working at Eatons remained close friends up until the day of her passing. Mary's friends were friends for life. Another example of friendship was the group of "girls" who met every Thursday for lunch, Adeline, Carrie, Dianne, Darlene, Mildred, Myrtle, Colleen, etc. Danny and Mary made numerous trips over the years to Las Vegas with daughter Jacquie, brother Phillip and wife Joyce and on occasion, niece Joanne. Mary and Danny's casino adventures over the past ten years included trips to Belcourt with Eleanor, Keith, Jacquie, John and Cathy Polson. Mary will miss her Sunday card games at McDonalds and her Monday club dates for bingo and cards. Her favorite "local" casino was South Beach, which we were grateful that she had one last winning time, in early November. God has added another angel by taking Mary to be with him. Her family and friends will deeply miss this wonderful person who has left a great void in their lives. The family would like to thank the caring nursing staff and Drs. Kristjanson and Tam at Seven Oaks Hospital for their great efforts in trying to help mom come home.
