John Herceg

Peacefully on October 31, 2009 at Concordia Hospital with his mother by his side. John passed away at the age of 50 years.

John is survived by his daughter Vanessa Herceg, mother Agnes, cousins Chaba and Bela and families, cousin Tebor of Calgary, aunts Ebie and Ilona, and grandma Anna of Hungary.

John was predeceased by his father Janos on April 1, 2008.

John was born on February 25, 1959 in Winnipeg. John graduated from St. Paul's High School. He began his career in radio at CKJS and then moved onto Thunder Bay CKPR, where he worked for 20 years. John was very involved in music and ran successfully a small DJ business, which he enjoyed thoroughly.

Many thanks to the Emergency staff at Concordia Hospital for their kindness especially nurses Anna and Marianne.

Pallbearers will be Oscar Marx, Tibor Boda, Steve Meszaros, Peter Meszaros, Steve Potake, and Herman Holschen.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main at Inkster with Fr. Henryk Laciak officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
