Obituary of Lucyna HELEWSKI

LUCYNA HELEWSKI It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucyna Helewski on February 24th, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 89. Lucyna was born on December 13th, 1921 in Poland. She came to Canada in 1978 where she met her future husband with whom she spent many happy years. Lucyna was a member of Sokol No. 1 where she enjoyed being with Teofil and their close friends. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Eva (Ted) of Winnipeg, Adam (Anna) and Marek (Stanislawa) of Poland also six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 1st at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with Rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
