I really wish I could be there for Nanny's service on Saturday. All of you, and especially my dear mom, will be in my thoughts. Nanny will live forever in my abundance of happy childhood memories, including long, lazy visits in Winnipeg and magical summers at the lake cottage. Who else could have perfected fabulous pies from a wood stove? Who else performed the polka with such abandon and vigor? I'll never forget my delight in getting to roll cigarettes with her! Holy dooddles!! I can't believe she's gone...just a couple of weeks ago we talked about expecting to celebrate her 100th birthday with her...but, dear lady, 94 is nothing to sneer at, especially when you did it in such style! Love you, Nanny.
