Obituary of David HAWKINS

DAVID CHARLES ALBERT HAWKINS It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David at his home on January 8, 2011, at the age of 63. David is survived by his daughter Jessica, stepson Bryan (Pam); grandchildren Jonah, Caris; wife Kathie; step daughters Jacquie, Lisa (Randy); grandchildren Madison, Mckinna; brothers Vic (Sue), Garry (Melanie); sister Lynne (Dave), nephews and cousin Eileen (Fred). David was predeceased by his parents Albert and Eileen. David was born in Caister on Sea, England, moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1951 where he grew up in St. Vital. David worked for C.P.R. in Winnipeg and was later relocated to Calgary until his retirement, at which time he moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to his family especially his daughter Jessica whom he adored. David was a great fan of NFL football with the Vikings being his favorite team. Many times he would drive down to Minneapolis just to watch the Vikings play. David also looked forward to and loved the breakfast outings with his brothers at the Seine River Cafe. We will always remember David for that twinkle in his eyes and his loving smile. In lieu of flowers donations in David's memory may be sent to The Canadian Diabetes. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Paramedics and Police for their compassion, and to all of his doctors for their ongoing care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Inkster. Rest in Peace David, we will all miss you.
