Olga HARRISKO

Obituary of Olga HARRISKO

OLGA HARRISKO In the wee hours of December 12th, 2010, while listening to her favorite Christmas music, and with family at her side, our beloved Baba passed away peacefully and with dignity. Since her passing, a lot of people have shared their memories of Baba with us. It has brought a lot of joy to know that everyone remembers her amazing cooking, huge heart and the warmth and hospitality of being in her home. Kurt Avenue will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We have chuckled over her sense of humour, "the HAND", and shared our memories of all of the little things she did to remind us all of what a selfless, giving person she was. She truly was the glue that kept our family together and built traditions that we will carry on always. We will miss you. Baba leaves behind to cherish her memory, her four children Phyllis (Harold), John, Dennis (Karen) and Kathy (Kim), her sisters, Elizabeth and Gladys, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Philip, her parents, Horpyna and Bill, her beloved son David, her sister's Verna and Mary, and beloved son-in-law Barry Marcheschuk. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Oakview Care Home for their kindness and compassion in taking care of Baba Olga during the last few years of her life. Angels do truly walk the face of the earth. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be held when the flowers are blooming. If you so wish, a donation in Baba's name may be made to the charity of your choice. SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE
