Obituary of William HARMACY

William Harmacy Peacefully, on October 4, 2009, William Harmacy, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 88. William was predeceased by his wife Carrie of 37 years, his parents John and Sally, as well as his sisters Ann Drowsy and Stephie Dudar and brother Mike Harmacy. He will be sadly missed by his sons John (Joyce) and Allan (Suzana) Harmacy, grandchildren Shawn (Alison), Gavin, Scott (Nicole), Bradley (Jackie), Dan (Anita), and Goran, as well as great-grandchildren Omen and Emily, and special friend Anne Serediuk. William was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 6, 1921. William worked at Bristol Aerospace in excess of 30 years until his retirement. After his retirement he enjoyed his hobbies of woodworking, which he donated several pieces to his favourite charities. William was also an avid bowler, long time member of Legion 141 as well as Mosienko Lanes. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including dinners and other outings. William's family was the centre of his life, his legacy, and his greatest joy. He also enjoyed lunch with his friends on the Senior's Lunch Circuit. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff on the 5th floor Unit 1 of Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and concern provided to William in the last few weeks. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in William's name to the St. Amant Society.
