He worked for Manitoba Hydro for 45 years. He was stationed in Winnipeg Beach as a line man where he met his soul mate and wife Isabelle. He was Manager of Houlage Services for Manitoba Hydro in Winnipeg upon his retirement. Mom loved change and Dad had a knack of making that change happen. All he needed was a hammer, saw and nails. He once told Mom that he should put the walls on wheels. Dad loved to tinker, build, and had a great collection of tools and had a passion for golfing. Dad was an honourable and loving man who lived for his family and their visits. He enjoyed traveling and cruises during the 10 wonderful winters in Florida with his loving friend Norma. Dad spoke highly of his wonderful nurses and care-workers at the Gimli Betel Home. He always wanted to repay them with chocolates for their kindness. Also a special thank you to the management and staff at Seagulls Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Harvest, Habitat for Humanity or the charity of your choice. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
