Obituary of ANNA MATCZUK

ANNA MATCZUK Suddenly, on the morning of January 22, 2012, Anna Matczuk passed away at the age of 88. Left to mourn are her children, Serg Matczuk(Allyson), Irene Bickerton (Rob), and Walter Matczuk (Brenda), her grandchildren, Leigh, Kim, Suzanne, Kathryn, Trish, Paul, Michael and Marcus, and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsea, Kaitlyn, Karina, Theo, Chetan, Tate and Nisha. She was predeceased by her husband Nick, her daughter Doreen Erhart, and her grandson Matthew Matczuk. Anna was born in Drohobycz, Ukraine in 1923 and lived in Germany and France before immigrating to Canada in 1951 with her husband and two young children. With fierce determination and hard work, she raised her four children, turned any house into a lovely home, made gardens grow like no one else’s, created the most delicious meals for every occasion, and told stories that were filled with laughter and tears. In recent years she enjoyed her days with her friends at St Josaphat Selo-Villa and appreciated all they did for her. Funeral Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Friday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
